Perfect World Entertainment has released their second quarter income for 2014, and the result is that they continue its hot streak of revenue generation. For the second quarter, total revenues amounted to $149.6 million USD, an increase by about 4% over last quarter, and the $138.8 million comes from PWE's online games. Gross profit similarly increased by a small margin to $109.4 million with operating profit decreased nearly 30% to $20.7 million. Robert Xiao, who is the CEO of Perfect World Entertainment, attributed the company's financial increase to the successful release of Swordsman, and the publishing of Dota 2 in China.

We are pleased to announce our second quarter results. Total revenues came in line with the high end of our expectations. Our PC client-based games, such as our flagship title ‘Swordsman Online,’ delivered an increase in revenues. ‘DOTA2,’ a world-class title which we have obtained exclusive rights to operate in mainland China, also bolstered our second quarter results with its growing contribution.
