Today, we're going to be looking at a guide thanks to which you can make quite a profit, before Warlords of Draenor goes live. For this to be as efficient as possible, you will need Jewelcrafting and old school Gem Recipes from The Burning Crusade expansion. Note that you don't necessarily need max Jewelcrafting skill in order to make profit.

Why is this guide profitable?

With the various tweaks Blizzard implemented along with item scaling they messed up the gemming. Currently, regardless of which gem (and from which expansion) is used to craft let's say a caster red socket, all will give you a maximum of +10 Intellect, so why not use the cheapest one to craft it and put it on the Auction House to maximize profit?

The Guide

I. Obtain friendly reputation with The Scale of the Sands and purchase the epic Burning Crusade gems from Indormi near the Hyjal entrance in Caverns of Time. You gain rep with the said faction by clearing the Hyjal raid.

II. Browse your Auction House (AH) for gems like: Crimson Spinel, Lionseye and Pyrestone. These are the most profitable ones. If you're lucky, you can find them easily on the Auction House for less than 5 Gold.

III. Cut the gems and put it on the Auction House
