Bioware has posted a series of forum threads for specific classes in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The threads are the beginning phases of class balancing throughout the game and are an effort on behalf of the development team to keep its thoughts on balance in the public eye. In addition, the PTS notes for v3.2 have been posted, as well as a short introduction to the Outfit Designer.

First, each class balance thread begins with the statement that three issues are of paramount importance with regard to future changes:

*Quality of Life - seeks to address the flow of skill rotation, resource management, abilities and making each class fun to play
*Unity - seeks to address functionality and synergy in the way classes perform against NPCs and to address changes to buffs, debuffs, AoE, control and more
*Combat Balance - how each class performs against other classes with changes coming to healing, defense, offense, DPS, and more
