Pearl Abyss gave a preview of the awakening states for Warrior, Sorcerer and Giant last month, and they have announced the Warrior’s awakening would arrive on the Korean server of Black Desert on October 22nd.
Weapon awakening system is a weapon-swapping mechanic which makes the character more powerful. Characters of Black Desert can switch the weapon to a different one when all the requirements are met. Players will see Warrior to be the first character getting this system, then Sorceress and Giant. Other than wielding sword and shield, Warrior will change his weapon to a greatsword in awakening state dealing much more damage when certain prerequisites are met.
The NA and EU servers of Black Desert have been officially announced after a long wait. And it will be launched in early 2016 and will not be free to play or use a subscription model. Instead players will buy the game once and can purchase vanity and convenience items.
