After a successful soft launch in Australia, Savy Soda, an indie games studio in Melbourne, announced today that their latest game Pixel Starships for iOS is now available for download worldwide.

The pixel starships game involves commanding your own starship in a 8bit online world; interacting with other players; developing your ship and crew; and engaging in large battles.

Like captain Kirk on Star Trek, players will be responsible for all aspects of starship management, not just battles. This includes ship fit out, crew resourcing, exploration, and much more. The main focal point is on internal ship management and planning over traditional point and shoot action.
