据leakedsource.com网报道，超过二百万DOTA2用户帐户是从游戏论坛偷来的。这是是因过时的vBulletin软件与SQL注入漏洞的关系。黑客能够获得访问用户名，电子邮件和IP地址，密码进行解读，再通过一个漏洞，MD5算法”破译”。目前为止，大约80%的密码被解读。游戏项目、游戏工作室辅助工具、游戏防封技巧，专业玩家网游戏工作室联盟，是网游工作室必选网站。

According to LeakedSource.com, over two million DOTA 2 user accounts were stolen from the game's forum. The forum was compromised due to outdated vBulletin software with an SQL injection vulnerability. Hackers were able to gain access to user names, email and IP addresses. Passwords were also unscrambled, again through a vulnerability in the MD5 algorithm "alongside the salt". It is believed that about 80% of the passwords have been unscrambled.
