The latest Riders of Icarus producer's letter has been published that deals with a sensitive subject for many players. It begins by acknowledging the fact that the game has been plagued with bots and spammers since Head Start and, while temporary measures have been put into place, the development team has been largely silent on the issue while players have been loudly decrying the issue across social media and in the game itself.

Apologizing for not being more transparent, the Riders of Icarus staff has heard players and understands the concern, particularly in light of adding new content seemingly without addressing the more divisive issue of spamming and botting.

Botting and hacking measures will be put into place in the next series of updates but will also be addressed through the addition of more GMs who will "patrol the game with more tools to quickly find and remove any exploiters". The automated system is also being revamped and an in-game reporting system is being added.

Spammers will be subjected to a precise real-time filter in time that will allow the team to adapt on the fly and improve the filters. This will be accomplished by working in tandem with other Nexon America teams.

Lastly, Han Sol Junger wrote:

    For better communication and transparency moving forward, those who are banned will be posted in a new “Weekly Banned Characters Report”, which will be updated every Monday. However, we will post our first report today, with a new report beginning our regular cadence arriving on August 15th. We will also provide you with updates periodically so the Riders of Icarus community can see our adjustments and give feedback on our progress.
