Legends of Aria has decided to bring back its in-game store alongside a new premium subscription, according to Citadel Studios today. In addition, the new sub has resulted in a price drop for the game, going form $29.99 to $19.99.
The Ultima-inspired MMORPG from Citadel Studios has announced it's bring a premium sub to players who choose to use it, offering perks for the $9.99 price. These perks include free taxes on plots, an extra housing plot and character slot, as well as 100 gems per week. Additionally, the studio has stated there are rewards specifically for the age of the subscription, so players who either by months in bulk or keep their sub going for a long period of time can expect to see new cosmetics and mounts - including a cool-looking llama at 18 months of sub time.
Additionally, the team has brought back its in-game store, featuring items such as character appearance changes, name changes, dyes, armor and clothing. Soulstones will also be featured in the store, but the Legends of Aria team stressed that these will "remain available in the loyalty point store as well, so you can still have access to this item through play and redeeming your loyalty points."
Its premium currency, gems, will be available to purchase:
•300 gems for $4.99•600 gems (plus 60 bonus gems) for $9.99•1200 gems (plus 300 bonus gems) for $19.99•3000 gems (plus 750 bonus gems) for $49.99
Finally, the team has lowered the price of the game to "help to make the game a bit more accessible for new players." The move is seemingly a way to inject new players into the game, helping with the population. Whatever the reasoning, with the price being a bit lower it might attract new players. The new pricing will be available on both Steam and the Legends of Aria website.
