A community manager for Rift has assured the community that development for the game has not stopped.
The post was in response to a now-closed forum thread which suggested otherwise. Community Manager Taerentym chimed in,
“The development of RIFT hasn't stopped due to the criticism of the players - constructive or otherwise. While our development team is hard at work and reading your feedback, we ask that you don't spread false information like this. Your thread has been closed.”
