The Rift team has announced that players will be able to participate in a brand new Instant Adventure in Hammerknell when the next update goes live. According to a developer blog on the Rift site, Hammerknell and overall improvements to the Instant Adventure feature have made it possible for the event to contain more interesting objectives, both combat and non-combat.

Along with the new IA, the dev team has been hard at work to see that general improvements to the entire feature are more streamlined and fair.

*Players will be rewarded for participation accordingly. This has been something the community has been asking for for quite some time.
*Smoother scaling and pacing - There will no longer be big spikes in difficulty.
*IAs will not begin in areas where there is a zone event ongoing. If one begins during the IA, the party will be transported to a better location.
*Players will earn Tokens during IA once the update is deployed.
*IAs will have two queues now: Random and Featured
